Coloured Cloth Napkins
A light natural shade, rich burgundy or dark navy: choose cloth napkins to complement your table setting. The selection includes Padua with a lustrous satin border and linen-blend napkins made from 50% linen and 50% cotton. Compare the surface as well as the colour – it influences how the shade looks on the table.

Should the napkin blend in or create a contrast?
Start with the elements you have already chosen: your tablecloth, crockery and any flowers or candles. Then decide whether the napkin should pick up an existing colour or stand out as an accent of its own.
Natural, champagne and taupe
Consider these shades if you want the napkin to remain understated alongside your crockery and decorations. Compare them particularly carefully with cream or beige tablecloths: similar shades can look noticeably warmer or cooler side by side.
Natural is available in the linen-blend range; champagne and taupe are available in Padua with a satin border.
Light blue, light green and grey
Light colours can pick up a shade from your crockery or table decorations. Place the folded napkin directly beside the plate. This makes it easier to judge the combination than looking at separate product photographs.
These three colours are offered here as linen-blend napkins.
Rich and dark shades
Burgundy, red, brick red, navy, dark brown or black create a distinctive accent on a light tablecloth. Consider the folded area too: a large block of colour has a different effect from a narrow roll in a napkin ring.
Not every shade is available in both fabric options. Check the collection specified in the product name.
A simple selection test: Set a complete place and view it from a seated position. Repeat the comparison under the lighting you will use during the meal. A screen image is not a reliable reference for an exact colour match.
Padua with a satin border or a linen blend?
Colour alone does not fully describe a napkin. This selection includes different fabrics and edge finishes. Consider which surface will suit your table as well.
Padua: highlight the colour with a lustrous border
Padua features a woven satin border that adds a lustrous accent. When folding, leave part of the edge facing outwards if you want it to remain visible. The coloured Padua napkins offered here measure 50 × 50 cm and come in sets of 6.
Linen blend: linen and cotton combined
Our linen-blend napkins contain 50% linen and 50% cotton. They also come in sets of 6, with stated dimensions of approximately 50 × 50 cm. Wherever possible, assess their feel and foldability after the first wash and your intended preparation.
Navy does not automatically mean the same shade of blue
Dark blue, also described as navy, appears in both product groups. The similar colour name does not guarantee an identical shade. Fabric, sheen and dyeing can change its appearance. If you want all place settings to look alike, stay with the same collection and version wherever possible.
Important for repeat orders too: Keep a record of the product number. “Dark blue, 50 × 50 cm” alone is not enough to identify your existing napkin precisely.

How many sets do you need in each colour?
The coloured napkins in this selection are offered in sets of 6. Calculate not only your total guest count, but also the quantity required in each colour and design.
Twelve places with two colours
For six places in the first colour and six in the second, you need one set of 6 in each colour. If you want all napkins to have the same edge finish, choose both colours from the same collection.
Eighteen places with a main colour and an accent
Two sets in your main colour provide twelve napkins; one set in the second colour adds six accent places. Plan the arrangement on a seating chart in advance if you want to highlight particular places.
Plan spare napkins by colour too
An extra napkin in another colour can replace a missing one in practical terms, but it changes your planned arrangement. If a consistent appearance matters, include the colours and collections you actually use when planning your spare stock.
Follow the care instructions for each item
Do not automatically apply the care routine for your white table linen to coloured napkins. Check the washing temperature, drying instructions and whether bleach is permitted for your chosen version. Different collections in the same colour may also have different care requirements.
For future additions: Frequently washed napkins may look different from new ones. Compare a repeat order with your existing stock before planning to use them together for an event.
Choosing coloured cloth napkins
No. These are different colour names and, in some cases, different collections. Natural is described as a medium beige in our linen-blend range. Champagne and taupe are available in Padua with a satin border. For precise coordination, compare the fabrics directly.
A dark colour does not indicate a stain-repellent finish. Depending on the type of stain, it may be more or less noticeable. Cleaning depends on the material, the stain and the item’s care instructions.
Yes, if you want to combine the different surfaces deliberately. For closely matching place settings, it is easier to stay within one collection. The same colour name and a similar size do not guarantee an identical overall appearance.
Each set of 6 offered here contains six napkins in the colour and design specified in the product listing. For a mixed-colour table setting, order your chosen colours as separate sets.
A photograph alone is not reliable for this purpose. Lighting and screens affect colour reproduction. Wherever possible, use the product number, collection and colour name when reordering. Even then, differences may exist between new stock and napkins that have already been washed.
