What Does Practically Iron-Free Mean for Jatta?
An easy-care tablecloth should save time in everyday use. Our Jatta tablecloth is made from 100% polyester with a fabric weight of approximately 215 g/m². The material retains its shape, resists creasing and requires relatively little care.
How you handle the tablecloth after washing makes a difference: Remove Jatta from the washing machine promptly, smooth it into shape and hang it up to dry. This usually allows you to use it again without additional ironing.
Creases may still develop if the tablecloth is left in the washing machine for too long or folded tightly. Practically iron-free therefore does not mean completely crease-free under all conditions.
What Does the Lotus Effect Mean for a Tablecloth?
Our Jatta tablecloths feature a stain-resistant finish. The polyester fabric absorbs very little liquid, allowing spills to remain on the surface initially, where they can often be wiped away. This makes Jatta particularly practical for everyday meals and celebrations.
The lotus-effect finish does not replace regular washing, but it can help prevent spilled liquids from penetrating deeply into the fabric straight away. This makes caring for frequently used table linen easier.

How Do You Care for Easy-Care Tablecloths?
Our Jatta polyester tablecloths are machine washable at 40°C. Use a suitable mild detergent and always follow the product care label.
To help preserve the fabric and its stain-resistant finish, avoid unnecessarily high washing temperatures and harsh laundry additives.
Remove the tablecloth promptly after washing, smooth it into shape and hang it up to dry. This helps reduce creasing, so additional ironing is often unnecessary.

Which Easy-Care Tablecloth Fits My Table?
The right tablecloth size depends not only on the dimensions of the cloth, but also on how far it hangs over the edges of your table. First, measure the length and width of your tabletop and subtract these measurements from the tablecloth dimensions. Then divide each difference by two to calculate the drop on each side.
For example: On a table measuring 90 × 180 cm, a Jatta tablecloth measuring 130 × 225 cm provides approximately 20 cm of drop along each long side and 22.5 cm at each end. This allows you to estimate how the tablecloth will drape before ordering.
- Table 90 × 180 cm → Jatta 130 × 225 cm: approx. 20–22.5 cm drop
- Table 90 × 200 cm → Jatta 130 × 250 cm: approx. 20–25 cm drop
- Table 100 × 250 cm → Jatta 150 × 300 cm: approx. 25 cm drop
- Round table Ø 120 cm → Jatta Ø 160 cm: approx. 20 cm drop all around
- Oval table 110 × 170 cm → Jatta 160 × 220 cm: approx. 25 cm drop

Yes. In addition to rectangular and square sizes, Jatta is available as a round tablecloth and in an oval version. Use the shape and size filters above the products to find the right option.
Yes. The Jatta collection also includes square table toppers and narrow table runners. This allows you to use the same plain white, stain-resistant fabric for smaller tables or as part of a coordinated table setting.
If you prefer a natural fibre, our plain white Klara cotton tablecloths are an alternative. Made from 100% two-ply cotton yarn, they differ from Jatta primarily in fabric composition and care requirements.
